John Pilger Exposes Obama (Video)

In case you have never heard of John Pilger he is an Australian journalist and documentary filmmaker. He is a 2 time winner of Britain’s Journalist of the Year award. John Simpson, the BBC‘s world affairs editor, has said, “A country that does not have a John Pilger in its journalism is a very feeble place indeed.”

With that introduction Pilger exposes President Obama for what he is on a 5 minute video on Youtube. Pilger exposes Obama as nothing more than a corporate mouth piece and “actor” who’s job is to sell Americans on horrible decisions and policies of the government. Have you ever asked yourself, how come you never see a fat person in a McDonald’s commercial? Any rational person will tell you what McDonald’s does to a waistline. Have you ever wondered why every soda commercial has a healthy looking person with a big white smile? We all know the effect soda has on teeth and the potential of diabetes.  Madison Avenue sells the message that if you buy the right brand-name beer, that beautiful women will be knocking down your door and the party will be pumping. The reality is most people buy beer and just sit on the couch and watch sports.

It’s all in the marketing. Obama is nothing more than a highly respected Billy Mayes. A man who sells the American people a policy (product) that we neither want nor is good for us. But instead of coming on at 3am in the morning like all the other infomercials, these “politicians” come out in the day, while your at work and have other things on your mind.

If you do anything this week. Watch this video. It will ALL make sense to you. As much as people don’t want to believe it, really think about it, is the policies of this President ANY different than the past President?

This is a wake up call to ALL Americans. The left/Liberal/Progressives’ have been lied to. Pride is making it too hard for them to believe it. The right/Conservatives are so filled with anger and hatred that they fail to see how destructive these policies are to America. Instead of the policies all they see is Obama and buzzwords of “socialist” and “marxist”.  Obama is not that. He is a fascist. Just like George Bush was. And just like the next President will be.

I hate to make light of the situation. But as Darth Vader said to Luke Skywalker when he did not want to believe in inconvenient truths. He said,”Search your feelings Luke. You know it to be true!”

Americans’ we are in BIG trouble and it don’t matter come election time in November 2010 or November 2012. We are in BIG trouble.

Headlines for Monday 12/21/09-

The Thrill Is Gone.Maybe.

Last week Gallup Poll put out their latest poll on Obama’s Job Approval ratings. http://www.gallup.com/poll/124610/Brief-Uptick-Obama-Approval-Slips.aspx Apparently there was a slight uptick after Obama’s West Point Afghanistan speech. You can click on the link above for a more in depth summary.

The stats above are telling. I find it interesting that George W. Bush had the highest poll numbers.

Obama rated at a 47% job approval.

In the demographics I found some interesting numbers.

Approval among whites went up from 39 to 41.

Approval among blacks went down from 91 to 89.

And most telling is among Hispanics’ he fell from 70 to 64%.

The party ideology was very strange.

Obama dropped from 82 to 81 among Democrats.

Obama went up from 44 to 46 among Independents.

And the biggest surprise I thought was that Republicans ratings of him went from 14 to 18.

These are ratings from November 16 to December 13 in the Gallup Poll Presidential Approval ratings of Demographics.

This quote was lifted from the article,

“Thus far in December, Obama has averaged 50% job approval. That is similar to the December averages for Ronald Reagan (49%) and Bill Clinton (53%), who also took office when the economy was struggling.”

Obama does continue to have a 52% Favorable rating as opposed to Job Approval Rating. So it seems more than half of Americans still like him. But they just don’t think he’s doing that good a job.  I guess in politics though it’s better to have people like you in the long run. As both Presidents who averaged 50% (Reagan and Clinton) in job approval both were re-elected to a second term.

President Obama collects his Nobel Peace Prize

Early this morning the broadcast stations were all beaming President Obama’s awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize.  When I originally heard the news it cracked me up. I thought what he did was historic by winning the election but let’s give him some time. Personally I like Obama as a “good guy”. I’m not saying he’s the best but let’s be real he’s got a lot of problems on his plate.

Now the backstory of the Nobel Peace Prize is that Alfred Nobel before his death had read his own obituary that was accidentally printed in a 1888 newspaper. In it the newspaper called him “The Merchant of Death”, for his inventions of dynamite which the paper said,”Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster than ever before, died yesterday”. He then left in his will that the vast fortune of his estate be left for a prize.

Now the winner of the Nobel Prize receives money in the amount of about U.S. $1.5 million dollars. This includes President Obama. In my opinion he should take half the money and donate it to http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ . This is an organization that helps wounded service members get their lives back. After sacrificing so much for our country it is a chance for the President to say publicly that American soldiers are the peacekeepers of the world. They are the true agents of change in the world. That they are the real promoters of peace.

The other half of the money should be given to http://www.ifrc.org/ . That link is to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescents. Everyone knows what the Red Cross is about. The President can show that peace is made by taking care of the displaced. By healing the wounded. By feeding the hungry. Qualities and actions that will echo around this country and the world. Something the “Merchant of Death” would be proud of.

        56 Rebels. 56 Rebels. That’s what I named my blog. What are 56 Rebels you might ask? You may not know each one individually but you know them as a group. Kind of like the Harlem Globetrotters.  56 Rebels is named for the group of men who signed the Declaration of Independence. 56 of them. To the British they were rebels. To Americans they are the Titans. The creators of this great and unruly mob known as America.

    Arguably the most significant political experiment in the history of the world. A country blessed like no other. A country with more purpose and promise than any other country before.  In this blog I will talk about politics through the eyes of someone who is neither Democrat or Republican. Liberal nor Conservative. Someone who will honor the Office of the Presidency regardless if it is a Bush or an Obama in it, yet admit when he is right and when he is wrong.  For too long this country has been consumed by political ideology that has been too the extreme from both sides. We have watched our country squander a countless fortune and have watched our economy be revealed as nothing more than a house of cards. The powers that be have exploited the average American for far too long and have asked them to do things that they themselves or their loved ones would never even consider for this country. 

I will try and keep things informative, worthwhile, and funny.  Tomorrow  I will explain my strategy on how we will win the war in Afghanistan. Seriously.
