A group of average citizens in North Carolina had their free speech rights impinged on by an angry George Bush blaming, Barack Obama supporter (Video below). The peaceful protestors made up of some senior citizens, were peacefully protesting and excercising their free speech rights, when the Obama supporter intervened in their protest. The North Carolina protestors were not specifically protesting Barack Obama or his policies as much as they were protesting the Financial Reform bill and the Durbin BP Bailout amendment. They can be seen holding signs that say “Don’t bailout BP”.
Not only does the man intervene himself in the protest but he pushes a woman who tries to play peacemaker. Then punching her husband as he comes to her defense. This is the future. When any form of protest is seen as “Anti-Obama”. You can’t even protest the government bailing out corporations and criminal corporations such as BP oil,without an Obama supporter crying about George Bush. Is Obama that intertwined with BP oil, that a protest of BP oil, is seen as an attack on Barack Obama and his policies? What a sad state of American affairs. This blog defends strongly the right of Free Speech and no one should be physically intimidated for practicing Free Speech. There is no word on whether the assailant was arrested or if he will face charges of violating the protestors civil rights.

Obviously you won’t see this on the corporate mass media. Especially as MSNBC gets ready to unveil a hit piece comparing Tea-Partiers to Nazi’s and the right wing as a bunch of gun toting militia members.
