Sarah Palin said that Muslims should ‘refudiate’ a planned mosque near the World Trade Center site. Hmmmm…the problem is that’s not a real word.  So, in her defense, Palin compared herself to William Shakespeare on Twitter when she tweeted: ‘Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Everyone came out of the woodwork to blast Sarah Palin. On the Huffington Post it had over 8,000 comments. I’m not a Sarah lover but it led me to think about our Dear Leader President Barack Obama’s most infamous term. 57 States. Not 50. 57.

        56 Rebels. 56 Rebels. That’s what I named my blog. What are 56 Rebels you might ask? You may not know each one individually but you know them as a group. Kind of like the Harlem Globetrotters.  56 Rebels is named for the group of men who signed the Declaration of Independence. 56 of them. To the British they were rebels. To Americans they are the Titans. The creators of this great and unruly mob known as America.

    Arguably the most significant political experiment in the history of the world. A country blessed like no other. A country with more purpose and promise than any other country before.  In this blog I will talk about politics through the eyes of someone who is neither Democrat or Republican. Liberal nor Conservative. Someone who will honor the Office of the Presidency regardless if it is a Bush or an Obama in it, yet admit when he is right and when he is wrong.  For too long this country has been consumed by political ideology that has been too the extreme from both sides. We have watched our country squander a countless fortune and have watched our economy be revealed as nothing more than a house of cards. The powers that be have exploited the average American for far too long and have asked them to do things that they themselves or their loved ones would never even consider for this country. 

I will try and keep things informative, worthwhile, and funny.  Tomorrow  I will explain my strategy on how we will win the war in Afghanistan. Seriously.
