The doctor had his TV on in his office when the news of the military base shootings at Ft. Hood ,TX came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there.
He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying, “I am okay.” Her cell phone rang right after she read the message. It was an ER nurse,” I’m the one who just sent you a text, not your husband. I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so. I am sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery.”
The soldier’s wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan, AL and drove all night to Ft.Hood. When she arrived, she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK. She rushed to his room and found that he already had visitors there to comfort him. He was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side. The nurse took this picture-
What? No news crews and cameras? This is how people with class respond and pay respect to those in uniform. I sent my cousin in Fayetteville ,N.C. (Retired from Special Forces ) that picture of George W. visiting the wounded at Ft. Hood . I got this reply:
What is even better is the fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped. Bush only asks for directions to the hospital then drove on. The gate guard called that “The President is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital.”
The base went bananas looking for Obama. When they found it was Bush, they immediately offered escort. Bush simply told them to let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead.
He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours, and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House.
Obama flew in days later and held a “photo” session in a gym, and did not even go to the hospital .
All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened. This Bush/Obama/Ft.Hood story is something that should be sent to every voter in the US. Those who wanted “change” certainly got it.

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, but her father was a staunch Republican. One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to high taxes and welfare programs.
He stopped her and asked her, “How are you doing in school?”
She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA, but it was really tough. She had to study all the time and never had time to go out and party. She didn’t have time for a boyfriend and didn’t really have many college friends because she was spending all her time studying. On top of that, the part-time job her father insisted she keep left absolutely no time for anything else.
He asked, “How is your friend Mary?”
She replied that Mary was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, but was very popular on campus, didn’t have a job, and went to all the parties. She was always complaining about not having any money, but didn’t want to work. Why, she often didn’t show up for classes because she was hung over.
Dad then asked his daughter why she didn’t go to the Dean’s office and request that 1.0 be taken off her 4.0 and given it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a respectable 3.0 GPA. Then, she could also give her friend half the money she’d earned from her job so that her friend would no longer be broke.
The daughter angrily fired back, “That wouldn’t be fair. I worked really hard for my grades and money, and Mary just loafs. Why should her laziness and irresponsibility be rewarded with half of what I’ve worked for?”
The father slowly smiled and said, “Welcome to the Republican Party!”

The internet is a buzz with rumors and news articles of a massive armada of aircraft carriers and ships heading for the Persian Gulf. On June 19 Infowars.com posted an article that an aircraft carrier and other American and Israeli ships passed through the Suez Canal on there way to the Persian Gulf.
“According to eyewitnesses, the U.S. battleships were the largest to have crossed the Canal in many years,” reported the London-based newspaper al-Quds al-Arabi on Saturday.
The biggest news maybe that Israeli war planes have been spotted on a Saudi Arabian air base according to Israel National News.com Also United States troops are rumored to be on the northwest border of Iran stationed in the country of Azerbaijan.
If this is true which it mostly likely appears Iran is maybe weeks away from a world of hurt. The strategy would most likely entail a “Pearl Harbor“-style attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. But to neutralize the Iranian military, targets could include air bases and military facilities including the Iranians special forces.
American media have not verified or spoke about any of these movements by the military. And if your wondering if it’s too strange to have Israeli war planes on Saudi Arabian bases. It’s not. The Saudi’s are deathly afraid of the Iranians developing nuclear weapons. Many people will wonder if America is too weak to open another front on the War on Terror. Maybe that is what America is counting. Feigning weakness when they are strong. Will Americans set foot on Iranian soil in a full scale invasion? I highly doubt that. They must have troops near to the battlefield to re-act to any Iranian counter attack or to rescue any pilots shot down during the attack.No matter how you slice it. The Iranians like Saddam Hussein are playing games with people who don’t mess around. The message from the Iraq war is clear to everyone. Co-operate with America and do as we say or we will come to your country, kill your children (Uday and Qusay), then we will put you in a noose. It may be too late now for Ahmadinejad to get himself out of this predicament.
The war games have been played. The strategy has been refined. Now the troops are being aligned. The countdown to the end of the Islamic Republic of Iran has begun.

Political Fun Friday: This administration is getting stranger and stranger by the day. I have to admit that I used to think that President Obama was the Anti-Christ. I mean if you follow the mythology of it. The Anti-Christ was going to be a smooth talker who could put people under a spell. He would have a mole as a sign. He shall come in “Peaceably and obtain the kingdom by flattery”. Daniel 11:21. Then when I saw how incompetent Obama was I said this isn’t the Ant-Christ. This guy is just an imbecile. Now with rats scurrying at his feet and fly’s landing on his face. It’s disturbing. Now I’m back to thinking that either Obama is the Anti-Christ or maybe a vampire. But the whole not being allowed out at day thing would impact his golf game so I’m back to the whole Anti-Christ theory. But really would the Prince of Darkness be this stupid? I doubt it.
The couple tried to sell the 6 month old baby for $25. Is that how much babies are going for these day’s? A dollar a pound? The only bright spot is that it’s the first time that something not made in China was on sale at Wal-Mart. 56Rebels contacted Wal-Mart about the incident. A Wal-Mart spokeswoman said, “We have no interest in selling babies at Wal-Mart. But if he wants to fill out an application we can have him working on a sewing machine in about 2 years.”
If anyone has seen Twilight you would realize this makes sense since Pattinson and Dracula both sucked.

General Stanley McChrystal’s piece in the magazine Rolling Stone is being talked about in the media about all the “offensive” things that him and his aides say about the Obama administration. After reading the article it becomes clear that there is a hidden message between the lines. Afghanistan cannot be won. The war is un-winnable. It’s gone on longer than Vietnam and there is still no end in sight. The article in Rolling Stone is a great read and the media will love the quotes that bash Obama and make the General look like a sophmore on spring-break more than the leader of the greatest military in this world. To me the most offensive thing in it was the fact that the General drinks “Bud Light Lime”.
After reading it I don’t know if I like the guy or hate the guy. One thing is certain I respect the guy. Here is a comment from the article-
McChrystal dismissed the counterterrorism strategy being advocated by Vice President Joe Biden as “shortsighted,” saying it would lead to a state of “Chaos-istan.” The remarks earned him a smackdown from the president himself, who summoned the general to a terse private meeting aboard Air Force One.
I hate to admit it but Biden may be on to something. He envisions small groups of Special Forces and drone strikes. I hate Biden and think he’s a clown but the current strategy is not working.
He (Obama) ordered another 21,000 troops to Kabul, the largest increase since the war began in 2001. Taking the advice of both the Pentagon and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he also fired Gen. David McKiernan – then the U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan – and replaced him with a man he didn’t know and had met only briefly: Gen. Stanley McChrystal.
He accumulated more than 100 hours of demerits for drinking, partying and insubordination – a record that his classmates boasted made him a “century man.” (concerning McChrystal’s record at West Point)
Obama got his guy. McChrsytal. If Obama didn’t know what or who McChrystal was then shame on him. Just another indication of his amateur hour Presidency that we witness on a day by day basis.
According to sources familiar with the meeting, McChrystal thought Obama looked “uncomfortable and intimidated” by the roomful of military brass.
He should be. He knows that he’s in a room full of guys who have accomplished some major things. Some men and women who have sacrificed everything in their lives “to protect and defend the Constitution”. These are people Obama has no clue how to interact with. He knows they expect results from their underlings and when they say things lives hang in the balance. Obama is very unfamiliar with that.
Then, without ever using the words “victory” or “win,” Obama announced that he would send an additional 30,000 troops to Afghanistan, almost as many as McChrystal had requested. The president had thrown his weight, however hesitantly, behind the counterinsurgency crowd.
McChrystal wanted 40,000 troops. Obama sent 30,000. If your willing to send 30 why can’t you send 40? Obama wants to appear like he’s a hawk on this issue. The numbers show the truth. Either your all in or your not.
“It’s not going to look like a win, smell like a win or taste like a win,” says Maj. Gen. Bill Mayville, who serves as chief of operations for McChrystal. “This is going to end in an argument.”
This is what the Chief of Operations has to say. Very cryptic.
In private, Team McChrystal likes to talk shit about many of Obama’s top people on the diplomatic side. One aide calls Jim Jones, a retired four-star general and veteran of the Cold War, a “clown” who remains “stuck in 1985.” Politicians like McCain and Kerry, says another aide, “turn up, have a meeting with Karzai, criticize him at the airport press conference, then get back for the Sunday talk shows. Frankly, it’s not very helpful.”
That is pretty self explanatory. And disturbing.
“Fuck, when I came over here and heard that McChrystal was in charge, I thought we would get our fucking gun on,” says Hicks, who has served three tours of combat. “I get COIN. I get all that. McChrystal comes here, explains it, it makes sense. But then he goes away on his bird, and by the time his directives get passed down to us through Big Army, they’re all fucked up – either because somebody is trying to cover their ass, or because they just don’t understand it themselves. But we’re fucking losing this thing.”
The soldiers serving over there are left feeling vulnerable and feeling like they are fighting with one hand tied behind their backs. Would you want to fight the Taliban with one hand tied behind your back? Notice the words “we’re losing this fucking thing.” It’s not being said by a member of Code Pink.
“It’s all very cynical, politically,” says Marc Sageman, a former CIA case officer who has extensive experience in the region. “Afghanistan is not in our vital interest – there’s nothing for us there.”
I would assume that all the members of Al-Qaeda who were participants in 9/11 have been captured or killed except for the big two. Zarquairi and Bin Laden. Who are we fighting now? Taliban? Afghans? What do we gain by staying there?
Celeste Ward, a senior defense analyst at the RAND Corporation who served as a political adviser to U.S. commanders in Iraq in 2006. “That’s the game we’re in right now. What we need, for strategic purposes, is to create the perception that we didn’t get run off. The facts on the ground are not great, and are not going to become great in the near future.”
Is that what this is all about? War for war’s sake. Keep throwing men, machines and money into the meat grinder in some satanic game of chicken? Are we trying to avoid another Saigon? Is it a sin for a country to realize that a war is a lost cause? When America left Vietnam did America survive after that? Yes. We did our damage to Al Qaeda and we killed a lot of enemies over there. How many more young Americans have to lose arms and legs and lives for us to get the message that Afghanistan is a sewer not worth our effort?
“There’s a possibility we could ask for another surge of U.S. forces next summer if we see success here,” a senior military official in Kabul tells me.
If that is the case then re-instate the draft. It’s too much to keep asking people who volunteer to serve to have to be in a un-winnable situation. If it’s so important to America then all Americans should have to step up to the plate. And start the draft with the children of the highest tax brackets first. None of this poor and black go first garbage. Then we will see how committed our country is to Afghanistan.
“Winning hearts and minds in COIN is a coldblooded thing,” McChrystal says, citing an oft-repeated maxim that you can’t kill your way out of Afghanistan. “The Russians killed 1 million Afghans, and that didn’t work.”
I can say honestly if Afghans can’t decide or won’t decide if they want to support America or the Taliban then they need to get what’s coming to them when the Taliban role back in country en mass. There should be NO DEBATE about winning hearts and minds. If they can’t decide if THEY want to risk their lives to save their own country or they would prefer the Taliban then we need to leave.
As for McChrystals’ comment that “The Russians killed 1 million Afghans and that didn’t work.” Well it’s not like they fought Russia alone. They had tremendous support from America in the form of weapons and manpower and money from the Middle East. Take away America’s stinger missiles and it’s a different war. We all know that Pakistan is helping the Taliban. If that is not a sign of how messed up the situation is then what is?
There is a reason that President Obama studiously avoids using the word “victory” when he talks about Afghanistan. Winning, it would seem, is not really possible. Not even with Stanley McChrystal in charge.
All the major media will drone on and on about McCrystals’ comments that are disparaging to Obama and his advisors but the serious subject matter is the question of “Can America win this war?” “How long do we have to be there?” “How much will it continue to cost?” “How many more lives of Americans do we have to deliver to Afghanistan for victory? “Do we even know what victory is?”
I like war just as much as the next average American. I supported Iraq and I still think it was poorly executed but strategically sound. It took out Saddam Hussein and put Iran in a tough position. But even that war wasn’t won til the Iraqi’s got a taste of Al Qaeda in their neighborhoods, turned on them and literally chased them out of An-Bar province, and the surrounding provinces.
When do the Afghani’s decide what they want? Only then will America understand what they will get. Either go in full throttle or get out. No in-betweens. We can’t keep our troops in Afghanistan to die a death of a thousand cuts. If you feel that I’m being a lefty or a liberal, then sign up your son or daughter, and we can debate who’s a patriot another day.

In another bizarre instance of how out of touch our government officials are. (D-NY) Carolyn McCarthy wrote the most bizarre letter to a constituent in a long time. The letter is dated June 16, 2010. The letter concerning 3 Navy Seals who were put on trial for the “abuse” of a captured terrorist who killed contractors and hung them from the bridge in Fallejuah. Here is the letter.
The funny thing is the last Navy Seal was acquitted on MAY 7, 2010. The trial is not going on currently lady. It’s over. I wrote about this story back on December 15, 2009. I wish for the life of me I knew how that letter got mailed out. I hope Rep. McCarthy personally didn’t type that up. I wonder how the person who got that letter must feel? Something so important to write to Congress about and to get such a canned response. Sad. The United States continues to be the worse government money can buy. I betcha Ms. McCarthy knows when her fund raising dates are. I betcha she doesn’t let that slip her mind. But of course “not a day passes when she doesn’t think of the brave servicemen and women”.

This video I found on YouTube is pretty apparent. Obama slipped up and admits he’s a Muslim. I had never seen this video before and I’ve seen a lot of news programs. Watch it before Youtube takes it down.
I loved the way George Stephanopolis had to correct him. That was great. And notice how Obama starts smiling and kind of laughing to himself. Because he knows that he is busted! I once had an ex-girlfriend like that. When she lied or got caught in some B.S. she would just start laughing. And never mind the fact that Obama’s spiritual mentor, Rev. Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright, gave a lifetime achievement award to Louis Farrakhan.
This whole presidency is really going downhill. I’m not going to stick up for BP but it’s not right to strong arm people behind closed doors with your Attorney General sitting right next to you. That’s not the way America operates. And at what point are the politicians who took campaign money from BP going to return it or donate it to charity? Just wondering. I’m trying to get a list up for Monday about who’s holding dirty BP cash. I know the Democratic candidate for Senate in Kentucky is. I will have more on Monday.
At this point I really feel that if Ahmadinejad can somehow get on the ballot for 2012 I probably will vote for him. Just throwing that out there. That is if Mitt Romney doesn’t get the nomination. Basically at this point even Ralph Nader would be a better choice. This is so bad.
I’m done doing that thing where you see the truth and you don’t want to believe it, so you say to yourself nah..that’s not possible. I realize it’s possible. I’m no longer trusting my brain. I’m trusting my eyes. I am not a conspiracy nut but we were force fed Obama as the next President. Why? More importantly how the hell did Hillary Clinton NOT beat this guy in the primaries? The answer is the media. The favorable coverage of Obama compared to Hillary was a joke. At every chance they got MSNBC referred to Obama as a “rockstar”. What does MSNBC who is owned by General Electric have to gain from Obama?
Windmills. There have been a lot of jokes on the right about Obama’s Oval Office speech, concerning the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, that there was nothing of substance except for the end where he talked about his clean energy initiatives. The joke goes something along the lines of blah,blah,blah man on the moon, blah,blah,blah windmills. The fact is that General Electric according to Wikipedia-
May 2005 GE announced the launch of a program called “Ecomagination,” intended, in the words of CEO Jeffrey R. Immelt “to develop tomorrow’s solutions such as solar energy, hybrid locomotives, fuel cells, lower-emission aircraft engines, lighter and stronger durable materials, efficient lighting, and water purification technology,”
So GE has a lot to gain if the President decides that he wants to create all those “green jobs” building windmills. The sad part is according to a 2000 report -

So when your one of the biggest polluters in the world it’s good to have friends in high places. Especially when that man is supposedly the most environmental president ever and now has a record of making companies pay cash up front without a courtroom decision for pollution. Like Obama has done for BP. It’s set a scary precedent. Let’s hope that $20 billion goes to the people that need it and not too his cronies and community organizations.
I know there is a lot to digest in this post. That our President is a Muslim. That he’s a corporate shill and middle man for one of the biggest companies in the world. General Electric. I have left out the fact that GE also has their hands in healthcare and making jet engines for fighter planes. I guess we all know who is going to benefit from America’s healthcare reform. And also in prolonging the War on Terror and possibly striking Iran in the future.
Our democracy is non existent. We are ruled by corporations the same way as the people in Iran are ruled by Mullahs. Well at least we have one thing in common with the people of Iran. Our President is a Muslim too.

I love this clip from the film Network (1976). Sometimes as a writer you just wish you can have a moment like this. It’s pure genius. Americans take a lot of abuse from their government. When do they get sick and tired of being sick and tired? When do they have their moment of being “mad as hell and not going to take it”? I wish I had an answer. Enjoy the clip. It’s not safe for work only because after watching it you might get up and quit your job.
Like most concerned Americans I watched President Obama deliver his speech from the Oval Office concerning the destruction of the Gulf of Mexico. He delivered the typical Presidential lines of we are gonna do this and we are gonna do that. Why? Because we went to the moon 40 years ago. The speech seemed more appropriate to be delivered on the 7th day of the oil rig disaster as opposed to the 57th day.
I was struck by his remarks that he had Energy Secretary Steven Chu, a “nobel prize winner” in physics, and other academia working on the problem. This caught my attention because I am originally from Long Island, New York. The same area as Dr.Chu so I am familiar with him and his credentials. Suffice to say it was a big deal on Long Island when he was selected to join the President’s cabinet. I have followed his career in the cabinet the same way you might follow a local athlete who gets drafted to the pro’s. After 57 days of oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico. He dropped the scientists’ name on us. Like Dr.Chu was working on the problem the whole time. How come we haven’t heard one peep or any news concerning Dr.Chu in all this time? I think the President takes us for suckers. Wasn’t BP calling all the shots and the United States was supporting them?

Mr.President just admit it’s a cluster-f**k and you thought BP was just going to turn a wrench to the right and the “spill” would be over. Americans need honesty. Not someone telling them things that would have been good ideas 56 days ago.
BP lied from the beginning on the size of the spill. On CNN before the President’s Address they had a graphic that the spill is 12 times bigger than originally thought. “Mom, I didn’t spill a gallon of milk. I spilled 12 gallons of milk.” Have fun cleaning that kitchen. I can’t for the life of me decide if it is incompetence or blatant bullsh*t. I really can’t. Bloomberg news reports that the well is spewing 60,000 barrels of oil a day.
Any idea why President Obama did not address the restrictions of the media to gain access to the beaches and the gulf. Mr.President have you ever heard of Freedom of the Press? It’s an integral part of a democracy. I’m sure there were no cameras or reporters allowed near Auschwitz in the 30′s and 40′s. Freedom of Press! Why was that left out of your speech?
Mr.President you wonder why people don’t trust the government to run healthcare. If there ever was! Ever! Ever! An advertisement for the incompetence and gullibility of the government this is it. You can talk about new regulations all you want til your blue in the face. If the government would have ENFORCED any regulations this disaster would probably not have occured.
“We will make BP pay!” You or anyone else are not going to make BP do anything or put any money in an escrow account that they don’t want to. We are all wise to the way America works. You can scream and yell and threaten to “kick ass” all you want. This country is a country of litigation and that is where this whole mess will end up. In court. Because that is the way Corporate America is built. SO stop acting like a tough guy. Your a paper tiger. The Iranians know it. The North Koreans know it. The Republicans know it. And even the America people are starting to know it. On the street guys like you are known as “shit talkers”. No one takes them serious. (Example-Americans will have 5 days to read any legislation ONLINE before it is passed.)- Lie #648 of the Obama Administration.
You have 57 days of oil spilling into the Gulf and the best you can come up with is we have scientists working on the problem. I would hope so. But you took the cake and proved to me how messed up this situation is when you asked for everyone to pray. You don’t even like God. Now your going to ask everyone to get down on bended knee? Pray for the people of the Gulf. Pray for America. Pray for this. Pray for that. All of a sudden God is the answer to everything. What an embarrassment. “Dear God, if your not busy please close the hole in the ground. And stop the oil. And clean up the mess. And God please save the birds. And the dolphins. Please God. I promise I will be good.” What kind of 4th grade bullshit is that?
Americans we are in bad shape. Here is the truth BP has not only screwed up the well and dumped poison dispersants in the water of the Gulf, but there is serious damage beneath the seafloor. Let me say that again. There is SERIOUS DAMAGE BENEATH THE SEAFLOOR. This Oil Disaster will be the end of life as we know it if they can’t get it under control.
One day the Soviet Union functioned day to day. Then one day a nuclear power plant blew up in the city of Chernobyl. The land that was impacted was never the same. Never. No matter how hard they prayed. The damage was done. Sometimes even God can’t fix man’s mistakes.

I found this video on YouTube of one of George Carlins concerts. I remember watching this and it always stuck with me. George Carlin was a professional comedian. But he was also much more. He was a prophet. There was something about his act that would scream out “Here is the TRUTH!” It was beautiful. It was scary. But above all it was funny. Enjoy it. Let it sink in. And really think about it. This from the man who told us years before 9/11 that airport security was an illusion to make people feel safe. He was right. When he died, a piece of Americana died with him. What I would give for one George Carlin/Obama joke. Just one.
